There is a question that has been coming up in my life a lot lately.

How?

And not just me asking the universe how the heck do I do this? But people coming to me and asking me how? How have I started 2 businesses at 24? How do I look so happy? How do I feel so confident? How am I living my dream life? How do I do it all?

I have two answers.

The first is I can’t not do all the things I do, I feel like a magnet to the life I want to create. I have a blazing fire set in my heart for my dreams, for helping women, and serving the environment. I simply cannot not be creating this dream life. But I wasn’t always that way. I had paralyzing fear, a deep self-hatred that prevented me from showing up in the world, and a lot of shit that I did not deal with.

The Revolutionary Living Institute was my game changer. I was ready to change, but had no idea where to start. I had lost almost every relationship that was important to me and I knew it was time to stop fighting my demons, and time to start to get to know them, get curious about why they are the way they are.

Two years of therapy didn’t really do a lot for me. It was a great, safe place to vent, but it didn’t rewire the way I saw the world, it didn’t give me tools to become this woman I knew that was inside my head, it didn’t teach me that there was so much more out there. Then I met Kimberly Johnson.

Game changers come along, sometimes we seek them out, sometimes we fight hard against them, sometimes they come in a very small sign, but your gut says YES YES YES this is it. Sometimes you can’t even see your game changers, but there they are slowly unfolding before you.

RLI has been all of those for me. I sought Kimberly out to be my health coach, because her ad happened to pop up on my facebook feed, and that little voice in the back of my head said, yes. I have fought hard against myself and my coach, only to break through each and every wall I put up for myself. I have continued to say yes to myself and to my life, even when it’s really fucking hard. And I have not only watched RLI unfold over the last two years, I have watched myself and my dream life start to unfold before me.

The Game Changer.

Follow your bliss.

That was something Kimberly told me once, and those three simple words etched themselves onto my heart so deep there was no turning back. Follow your bliss. That is the only way I know how to do anything. When I am deep in my dark hole of shit which I do still crawl in to, my bliss is what gets me out. When I have no idea what I am doing with myself or my business, following my bliss leads the way. When I am so stuck in my head, following my bliss blazes a new trail out.

So how do I do it? How do I own two businesses at 24? How have I learned to fall in love with myself and my life? How am I so dang happy? I follow my bliss. And trust me it took a lot of work to get to be here and will continue to take a lot of work and sometimes I still struggle. But life takes work, sometimes just getting out of bed is hard, being a human with experiences to understand is hard and takes work, but if you follow your bliss, your life transforms.

You begin to show up powerfully, you begin to love yourself, to love your body, opportunities start popping up to continue to follow your bliss. Joseph Campbell put it perfectly, “If you follow your bliss, the universe will open doors, where there were only walls.”
