Sometimes beautiful moments and random strokes of inspiration come out of thin air. On my boyfriend and I’s bike ride home from a basement bouldering-sesh at our friend Joe’s house we got an all out light show and inspiration struck and we decided to stop for an epic photo shoot.

I absolutely love lightening (something I get from my pops), and biking, and biking in a lightening storm. What would terrify some, makes me feel empowered and connected to nature. There is something really powerful and inspiring about lightening. All this electric energy in the atmosphere makes it hard not to feel electric. This photo makes me not only feel connected to nature but also makes me feel like a freaking superhero, it makes me feel like all that is woman. It makes me feel powerful and inspired.

I love that this beautiful moment happened because my boyfriend and I have been trying to bike everywhere. Biking isn’t just about being healthy and saving gas money, it is about moments like this, that would have been missed if we had been driving. Taking a few extra minutes to get places because we choose to ride our bikes lets the world reveal itself to us in really cool ways. So if any of you needed inspiration to maybe slow down, get outside and peddle, and see beautiful moments, here is your sign. Get out there, get inspired, it’s beautiful.
